Step 1 - Configure your Searchie account
Set yourself up for success by priming your account for the volume of content you're about to import. Be proactive in improving transcription accuracy by selecting the language your content is in and by adding niche terms into your custom vocabulary.
This simple step can save you hours and hours of work. 😎
Step 2 - Migrate your video and audio content over
Depending on where your video and audio content is stored, you'll want to pick the correct content migration process.
Be sure to select a subscription plan that requests your migration needs.
Content stored on your computer can be uploaded from your computer into your Searchie account.
If you have existing content stored on Zoom, Vimeo, Wistia, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Soundcloud, Apple Podcasts or Facebook, you can bring a lot of content into your Searchie account in a couple simple clicks. Check out our articles on Importing and uploading media for more information on how to importing content from any of these applications.
Any content from other sources should be downloaded to your computer and then uploaded into Searchie.
Step 3 - Organize your content library
Creating and maintaining a centralized content library and one of the easiest ways to take total control of your existing and future content. Organize the content you've imported using Folders and Playlists.
You can also automate your Playlists using Folders and Content Tags. This move will instantly import any content in that folder currently and any content uploaded to the attached folder or content tags. This allows you to get content like your Zoom recordings straight to your audience as soon as your call is uploaded. 🤯
Step 4 - Build your Searchie Hub
With your content organized, it's time to create your Hub (AKA your new content experience).
Head to the Hubs tab of your Searchie account to create a new Hub.
Step 5 - Add your text elements and resources
Add in any text and copy that you want from your old site into your Searchie Hub.
You can also add any resources or downloads (basically non-video deliverables) as attachments to your Hub Content.
Step 6 - Let your members know
You want to make sure your audience understands that there is an improved content experience coming their way soon! 🎁

Step 7 - Finalize your payment process
The payment process is one of the most important elements of migrating your existing business over to Searchie.
Searchie has a native integration with Stripe, which you can take advantage of if you're using Stripe to collect your payments. By connecting your Stripe payment gateway, you can import existing payment customers along with their Stripe profiles. As long as your attach the Stripe products and plans that your existing members are using, you'll be able to grant Hub access to them very easily.
If you're not using Stripe, don't worry! Lots of members keep their payment systems separate from their Searchie Hubs. You can use some help from Zapier to set up any recurring processes like removing Hub access for anyone who cancels their recurring payments.
Next time you open cart with your new Searchie Hub, you can use either Stripe or an external cart to start collecting new payments for your new members without disrupting your current members' Hub experience.
Step 8 - Invite your audience
With everything else in place, it's time to invite your audience into their new space!
The fastest and easiest way to bring in your members is to import their names and emails using a CSV file.
Be sure to check off ✅ Hub welcome email to make sure your audience can complete their onboarding (basically create their password) and access your Hub!
