Customizing media player functionality with Playerjs.io

View our playerjs.io documentation where you can learn how to customize your Media Player even further

🧰 What You Will Need

  1. A Searchie Player and/or Playlist

  2. Access to someone with experience working in JavaScript

NOTE: This article is meant for users who are embedding the Searchie media player on a custom platform and who have access to the JavaScript code of that platform.

Step 1 - Go to Playerjs.io

Head over to the Playerjs.io library and explore the documentation to learn about the different ways you can manipulate the Searchie media player. The Searchie support team is not required to have extensive knowledge on JavaScript as a programming language, but if you have any questions about the library and what it enables you to do, please reach out to us at help@searchie.io.

Step 2 - Program your custom solution with JavaScript

The Searchie support team cannot guarantee that we will be able to help you build your custom solution for the Searchie media player. Please have access to a developer and have them contact us if they have any questions.

Step 3 - Confirm the solution is functioning properly

Any changes you make to the functionality of the media player could possibly affect the regular capabilities of Searchie. Ensure that the changes you’ve implemented do not affect the search functionality, captions, and/or file downloads available on the player.
